Masters Championships 2010 at Staunton Harold Sailing Club
For the 2010 season Staunton Harold Sailing Club are proud to host the Masters Championships over the weekend 8th/9th May. For those who have not visited Staunton we are a reservoir set in South Derbyshire.
I would like to make this event something special. The club will provide a practice and two races on the Saturday with a further two races on the Sunday morning. The final race on Sunday will start not later than 13:00 to enable an early finish. Naturally, on the Saturday evening we are planning an evening meal which will be a curry feast with a less spicy option also available. Homemade cakes and tea will be available between races on the Saturday afternoon. Of course, we have a well stocked bar. The maximum number we can cater is 100 people and to avoid disappointment I would ask people to enter early. If we have more entries we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee.
Camping is available within the club grounds and for those not so keen on canvas there are a few B&B establishments within the local area. Further details will be displayed on the Staunton Harold web site.
Staunton Harold hopefully will be a sea (or perhaps a lake!) full of blue sails come along and enjoy a good sailing and social weekend.
